This Friday we are getting ‘Lost In The Good Times’ with a brilliant chilled-out pop/rock summer vibe from Dublin singer-songwriter Ciaran James Malone.
When Ciaran sent us on this track a few weeks ago, we listened to it like we do with all submissions we get and we were instantly hooked and have listened to it several times since then and are still listening to it while we write this piece so we are pretty sure you will love it just as much as us!
Ciarán James Malone is an independent Irish artist from Dublin, who takes a wide range of influences from the likes of Thin Lizzy, Steely Dan, Hall & Oates, Jamiroquai and Daft Punk. It all started when he saw Jack Black shredding the guitar in ‘School of Rock’ and he said to himself “I wanna be that cool!”.
Pretty soon the love of music replaced the idea of being cool but he says “don’t get me wrong it still plays a part“. He describes music as being the gel to his family growing up and that a day didn’t go by where a record wouldn’t be spinning.
Apart from Irish and global success, creating a local hype in his hometown area of Knocklyon is his main motivation for now. “I want to put us on the music map one day and do the community proud“, he states.
“The lyrics for this song were written in one day following a long night reminiscing fond memories with friends. ‘Lost In The Good Times’ embodies that feeling you get, in good company, when you share funny moments you had together. It also gives you a sense of hope for the coming Summer months.” says the Dublin singer.
Well, if our opinion is a gauge on the rest of music lovers out there, this song should be playing throughout the summer months and will definitely be staying on our POD playlist for now!
