Jack Rua is back with ‘Isolation’

In a year were everyone was and probably still are isolating and dealing with the pressures of that, Irish pop artist Jack Rua brings his new single to the fore called ‘Isolation’.

The song deals with the loneliness and feelings of separation from loved ones during lockdown but although the sentiment is quite depressing, we LOVE this track. It brings a little bit of sunshine to a normally dull day in Dublin. Pop can be fun and serious at the same time.

Lyrically, the track deals with the personal loneliness and frustration Jack felt when he was forced to not see his boyfriend for 2 months due to the lockdown measures in Ireland. Jack captures the societal mood perfectly as he tries to remain optimistic about the future while despairing in the present.

‘Isolation’ marks the first release Jack has put out since his critically acclaimed debut mini-album ‘Narcissus’ in June, and marks a sonic shift towards a more contemporary pop sound.

Check it out on Spotify and all other streaming platforms now as well as the great new video below:
